missions

the great

commission

“Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’”

Matthew 28:18-20

There are millions of people around the world who have never heard the name of Jesus Christ or experienced His life-changing love. By engaging in missions, we have the opportunity to reach the unreached, bringing hope, healing, and salvation to those who desperately need it. Missions are not just an option; they are a commandment that drives our purpose and fuels our desire to share the gospel with everyone, near and far.

FAITH PROMISE

A Faith Promise is a prayerful, heartfelt commitment that we make annually, over and above our tithe and general offerings with the specific purpose of accomplishing our vision in missions. We make this commitment with willing hearts and faith that God will provide the means for us to give this offering over the course of the year. A Faith Promise offering can be given weekly, monthly or as a one-time gift.

It keeps missions from being something we do as an afterthought, but rather a key part of each of our lives.

We set our annual missions budget based on the commitments our church members make. You will not be contacted and personally asked to give what you have committed in your Faith Promise. It is a faith commitment between you and God

Spend time in prayer, asking God what He would have you give. After you pray, thoughtfully ask yourself these three questions:

what can i give?

If I put this in my budget, how much can I afford?

what can i give up?

What “wants” can I lay aside to make the Great Commission, Jesus’ last commandment, my first priority?

… and if i add my faith to it?

What would I give if I knew that God would provide?

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. As the Scriptures say, “They share freely and give generously to the poor. Their good deeds will be remembered forever.”
— 2 Corinthians 9:7-9 (NLT)
